Starting February 1, 2020, our exhibit will be open!
The exhibit, Watsonville is in the Heart, depicts first-hand
family hinstories of the early Filipino immigrants who came
to the Pajaro Valley in the 1920's and 1930's. The exhibit
features vintage photos, articles, artifacts, local history and
moving poetry.
The 1 PM event will highlight a Community Talk Story where participating families in the exhibit will talk about their parents experiences,
challenges and vitality.
More details to come. Please join the Watsonville is in the Heart Facebook page and inquire with Roy Recio about purchasing a 2020 calendar to support the project!
Exhibit Closing Event: Saturday March 28 featuring a screening of the documentary: "A Dollar A Day A Dollar A Dance" 1 PM at the Watsonville Public Library
